Can't really be bothered blogging but here are some videos I thoroughly enjoy.

Ahhhhh....brings me back to the weekends I spent vegetating on the couch missing on such trivial things like sleep. PS controller in one hand, pizza in the other.........................no wonder I was so unfit back then.....

Thought that this was hilarious. Came out some time ago but just discovered it and I think it covers a very relevant issue that I myself have been pondering.

Hey check this out, Jes introduced it to me. Rather cute. If you don't watch it then I have to say you are missing out on the answer to the meaning of life.

Anyway, i'm still in NS. Nothing much going on except got a whole bunch of new guys coming in that gives me almost a whole platoon to command. Muahahaahah...power at my fingertips *queue the red light on face, lightning and thunder*

Got accepted to UTS and NTU which sent me into turmoil cause if I choose either...ultimately I'm going to regret it (well that's looking at things as half empty) but then again my life here has not exactly been all sunshine and lollipops. Sooooo lonely here. If not for my gf, I might be in a state of depression. 6 more months until I ORD!!!! Wooooo! Then I got to find a ......job. Bugger... Then study for another 4 more years. Bummer... However, on the bright side of things, Russell is popping by this December and I'm going to Japan this coming Jan and Armin is coming here on an exchange program next August! Ahhhh good times...

In the end I chose NTU and after that, I'm probably going to return to Aust (For Queen and Country!) and get my PR despite the state of emergency they are in now. I wonder why they always seem to get hit first when the climate start to change. First the ozone layer, then the snow in the summer and heat wave in the winter, then the 7 year drought and now the freak storm that torn down half the country. Bloody hell.

Watching Miss Singapore Universe 2007 now...was going to mention something that I thought was rather awkward but thanks to my mind spasming from discovering the loss of my SD card from my camera I lost my train of thoughts.

Cheese buns. Plus someone stole my phone from my sis last night...come on karma....if there is such a thing please let it do its magic now.

Oh right and after kicking up somewhat of a fuss about the poor service and quality of food at NYNY at CityLink, Billy Bombers at Heeren and Ichiban Sushi at AMK Hub my sis ever so coincidentally told me that she met the owner of NYNY the night before...it went something like this...

sis' friend: And this is the owner of NYNY...
sis: *stares at the owner*
owner: Hi!...........what?
sis: Did you know my bro was complaining about your eatery?  (I really don't think it qualifies as a restaurant on any level. The food at your local coffee shop tastes a lot better than what was presented to me on that fine day) He mentioned that the service was crap, unprofessional and worse of all the food wasn't even...*blah blah blah*
owner: What! Serious? Hey next time you have any problems just call me and I will...

Well I think that's about how it went but I am going to get my money's worth of this situation. Yeah yeah its no where close to Lawry or any of your high end dining but honestly, to think that outlets like this are getting away with nhagoengolholahgahnp;h9%%*(%     huff           hufff        huff

Time for me to get off the comp and I have noticed that my ability to narrate has come crashing down. Think of rock bottom....add another 50 feet below that and there's me. I was also meant to show you guys a new toy that Jes gave me a while back but got to find my memory card first.

Bloody hell.

[edit]

Was reading the papers just then and can no longer ignore the surge of articles/reports/reflections on V. Tech worldwide. Well as you all know the issue has turned to the backlash on Asians that might ensue due to one crazy guy who happened to be of that race. Honestly I don't think that race is such an important factor in circumstances like this, if it must be mentioned, it is only another obstacle that divides mankind.

There is one particular article that caught my attention.Tamara K. Nopper. An educator/writer/activist located in Philadelphia with a PhD in sociology. Half a page on the papers has been dedicated to an essay that she has written on her blog whereby she ponders and evaluates the aftermath of all this. It is not her writing itself that caught my attention but its conduct. She often draws a clear line between people - and when I mean people, I mean races. In her essay she is generous with the terms "white media" and "Asian Americans", what I believe to be the spotlight in this frenzy. If everything goes according to how everyone fears it would, they may be known as the "perpetrators" and the "victims" in how I believe Nopper to have viewed things.
However what I fear is the racist move that Asians will have against the whites like how Nopper's article demonstrates - which is obviously what is not needed now or at any moment in time.

This is evident in her article that writes "the white media might actually ask Asian Americans our perspectives for a change".

She continues with "We will probably be expected to apologise in some way for the behaviour of another Asian - something whites never have to collectively do when one of theirs engages in (mass) violence, which is often."

With the media already a complicit of Cho by airing his videos and photos like he wanted, I hope that others are better than that. Better than to be influenced by any of this "propaganda" that turns one race against another whether it may be whites or African Americans or Asians etc.

Here's my period of angst...must be that time of the month eh? Or maybe I'm just really bored...oh well going for a massage with my sis tomorrow anyway.

Anyway I hope that this is THE one issue which makes Singapore seem that much more intolerable - but then again when I go to other countries I'll always find something that I hate about it forgetting that I don't live in utopia - WHY the f**k can't Singaporeans stand BEHIND the yellow FREAKING line when the train is approaching or when people are alighting.

Signs are posted all around the station and including the doors of the MRT while a recording message incessantly blares over the loudspeakers in 4 different languages every 10 mins reminding them to STAND BEHIND THE YELLOW LINE when the train is approaching and give way when passengers are getting off. It particularly frustrates me when I see people trying to get out while others start shoving their way in. Its just common sense isn't it? You cannot - or at least with great difficulty - go in until something that is occupying it goes in first right? Its just physics! Whatever goes up MUST come down..........unless it breaks Earth's gravitational pull then it starts orbiting around the planet aimlessly but that's not the point! Don't get technical with me missy.

Why must people display such selfish acts that I would only expect from little kids who do not know any better but instead I see the main perpetrators being the adults! All your friendly neighbourhood HDB tai tais, ah bengs/lians, coffee shop uncles and can collecting aunties. Why are they so insistent on trying to get onto the train soooooooooooo much??? It doesn't make much sense unless they think its going to leave all of a sudden while people are trying to get out and you would find yourself with sprawling bodies on the tracks and a train happily running off.

Let me recall such an incident for you shall I? The train arrived full so I managed to squeeze between a rock and a hard place - the door being the hard place.  When we arrived at the next station, I would have to get out and move to the side in order for those behind me to get out, as I do so, I ended up standing  in front of an auntie. While people were getting off, I spotted her trying to squeeze between me and the MRT in order to get pass which would have been impossible unless she kicked me in my spine or something, but she was starting to look a lot like an Energizer Bunny! She was trying to get past me but fails cause the gap is too small and there are scores of people coming out. BUT SHE JUST KEPT TRYING! She would make a move and bump into my leg so she backs off, then try again and bumps into my leg then back off and bump into....WHAT THE HELL WAS SHE TRYING TO DO?!? It was like playing Grand Theft Auto and your character can't go through the gap so it keeps vibrating against the object! At the same time she keeps mumbling something during each attempt as though she was trying to put me into a trance.

It has come to a point that I almost started screaming at all those trying to shove in or the next best thing I can do is just stand square shouldedly, stare them down when they stand in my way and 99.9% of the time they submit while I triumphantly stride out of the MRT long enough to trip on  the escalator down. Or.... alternatively I could reintroduce...

Do you need that people?! Huh?? Do you want it back again??

Okay here is something to just cool my nerves...
